Question
Hello sir,
my name is shaheem. i am 19,black belt in martial arts, i recently thought of joining boxing, plaese help me regarding the training and diet and please help me how can be on the game seriously so that i can make it to the big events.

Answer
Hi Shaheem - you should find a gym and trainer who will coach you in Olympic-style boxing, which is much different than MMA or professional boxing.  I would suggest at least 8 months of training in the basics, to include sparring, before you begin to compete.  You will start out as a novice and probably won't be ready for "the big events" until you've had at least 11 bouts (preferably more).  You will also have to be a U.S. citizen to compete in any advancing tournaments.  Please let me know what city and state you live in so I can email you a contact.
