Question
FOR A BIGGINER BOXER HOW DO YOU START WITH A SPEED BAG?

Answer
Hi Stacy,

As a beginner, you may have a boxing coach helping you with the speed bag.  I personally use the speed bag in a little wider range than most competitive boxers, but I can help with some links that will outline all you will need to get started.

speed Bag Basics for beginners.

Beginner level tips and training information

How to punch the speed bag on Wikihow.com

The information in these articles should be enough to keep a beginner going for several weeks. And the entire SpeedBagcentral.com website is full of "how to" training information for users of all levels. Start with the beginner level and work through some of the more advanced suggestions.  They are not that hard. Also, check out some focused workouts for speed and strength.

good luck Stacy, and I hope this gives you enough information to get going.  Remember, to hit "easy" at first.  concentrate on control, not speed.  that will come with practice.

sincerely,
