Question
I am moving all of my free weights out to my garage which I am turning into a home gym. There is no sturdy place to hang bags from so I am getting a stand that had places for both a speed and a heavy bag. The place I am not sure about is gloves. I am getting hand wraps and heavy bag gloves. Would it be safe to work on the speedbag with just hand wraps?

Answer
Hi Rich,

About hand protection, yes it would be safe to just use hand wraps on the speed bag. I often hit of short periods without them. But for serious training, I recommend hand wraps or gloves. However, I do not recommend the mitten style gloves but prefer a half-fingered weight training glove.

Good luck and train safe.  I hope this helps you and don't hesitate to ask again if you need help.
