Boxing/Speedbag for a small space

Question
Need to ceiling mount a speed bag in an irregular 7 foot attic ceiling.  Is there any way to adjust a ceiling mount [guessing not]? Can I make a platform to fit my space or can I purchase a smaller one somewhere?
Thanks!

Answer
Hello Ellen,

I do not know of any standard hardware to hang a bag from a ceiling, but you could probably make a solid rebound surface by hangind several ( four ) vertical 2x4,s so that they are level at the bottom and attach your board upwards on the ends. Think of a four leg table and turn it upside down. hang it from the rafters so the table top is level an attach your swivel to the center.  But I don't know how you could make it adjustable. You can always purchase an inexpensive wall unit to place on a wall at a location like TitleBoxing  http://store.titleboxing.com/speed-bags-platforms-platforms.html  or Ringside Boxing http://www.ringside.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=2381

The key is to get the bottom surface level so the bag rebounds evenly. Good luck with your set up, and I hope this helps you.

sincerely
