Question
You told someone that 23 years old is too old to start boxing. My question is why do you think so? Doesn't being in shape count?

Answer
Hi Rhean,
Thanks for the question.
I don't recall ever telling anyone that 23 is too old to start. In fact, I usually answer that type of question using the rationale that you included in your question: what is the person's physical condition, determination level, natural skills, etc.?
I would advise someone who is 23 that he or she would likely be competing against other boxers who had started their careers much earlier, but I would never make a blanket statement that 23 is too old.

I hope this helps, Rhean.
Thanks again for writing!
Regards,
Lian
