Question
I was wondering where to look for a gym and what to ask about in the gym. I have never tried boxing before and I would love to now. I have some equipment but I would like to learn how to do things. I am a 17 year old female, would competing be too late? I don't want to go pro. Just for a sport thoughout college really.

Answer
Hi Amanda - 17 is not too late, especially for a female.  And amateur boxing is good conditioning if you decide not to compete.  I think you have already emailed me, right?  If not, please do so at mel@amateurboxing.com and tell me the city and state you live in.  I'll send you a contact.
