Question
I'm almost 18, around 5'8 and 150 pounds, no real previous experience with
hitting things, and I want to get a punching bag.  what weight should I get? I am
going off to college in 3 months, so I'm thinking a freestanding would be my
best bet.  any advice on brand and filler and such things I know nothing about
would be appreciated.  Sorry for being a bit vague.

Answer
60 or 75lb. bags work best.  Also you will enjoy a soft filled bag more because it is more like hitting the body.  Everlast, Ringside, Title, Reyes all make good bags.  If you cannot find anything to your liking I do sell heavy bags on my website at www.boxingdoneright.com

Thanks,

Joe
