Question
Do boxers make money on the bets for/against them in a fight?

Answer
Hi Kris,

Actually, I have no idea how the betting is divided up. I would think NO they do not, unless they bet on themselves.

In that same light, I doubt that any basketball, football or any other pro athletes - get a cut of the legalized gambling bets place on their competitions. If they did, the odds of them "throwing the fight" or the game would greatly increase.

thanks for your question.

sincerely,
