Question
Hello Mr i write from London I just started boxing and i recently discover that i can switch from a orthodox to unorthodox position it seems that i can use both widouth any problems. It looks that i confuse everybody wen we fight is that common? Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hi Daneil,

Yes it is becoming more common for modern fighters to learn to change to the "other" stance. Both right and left handed fighters do well to be able to switch, if for no other reason than to give the opponent a different look and confuse them slightly. On the other hand, most fighters also learn to defend against either stance.

Be sure to work your "natural" stance hard, but if switching works for you, fine. stay with it.

Good luck in your career.

sincerely
