Questioncould you please tell me all the different boxing combinations from beginner to advanced?
AnswerHi Sinan,
I think the boxing "combinations", (defined as "two or more punches in succession" with no pause inbetween..) are the same for beginning boxers and advanced boxers, and the differences would be the skill, balance and ability to mix and match the individual boxing punches together.
To start on the "combinations", you should really focus on the individual punches that are included. The are
1) Jab
2) straight punch or "cross"
3) the hook
4) the uppercut.
there are various sites to give tips on each:

and, of course the best way to learn these is to have a personal instructor and training mates.
After you learn the individual punching techniques then you can mix them together in almost any order you want for two, three, four and five punch combinations. Some of the more standard combinations might be:
Jab, Straight Punch
Jab, Straight Punch, Hook (other arm)
Jab, Straight Punch, Hook, uppercut
Jab, Jab, Straight Punch
Jab, Jab, Hook (other arm or same arm)
Jab, Jab, Hook (other arm or same arm), Hook
Jab, Jab, uppercut (other arm)
Jab, uppercut (other arm), Hook
these two, three and four punch combo's can be worked moving forward, backwards and sideways. It takes time to get the balance, the movement flow, weight shift changes required etc. That would be the difference in the "Beginner" and "advanced" boxer. The advanced boxer can do these with power moving in any direction. the beginner is still focusing on the individual techniques.
theoretically, You can start a boxing combination with ANY punch - but the jab is by far the most used opening punch in a combo, and also a great punch to finish with moving out from your opponent. More advanced fighter may start a combo with a hook or uppercut, but I would not suggest a beginner try that. stick with the basics, using the four punches and moving in all directions.
I hope this help you and train safely in your future boxing career.
sincerely,
