Question
Ok, well my trainer moved his boxing gym even farther away from me and i don't have a car and my parents say it is to far to drive for 5 days a week. I was just wondering if i have to go to a gym to be a boxer, like can't i just buy all the stuff and train in the garage and then register for USA boxing every year?

Answer
Hi Delo,
Thanks for the question.

You can be what is known as an "at large" boxer, which means one who is not affiliated with a particular gym. You're correct that you would still have to register with USA Boxing as an athlete each year, however.

I hope this helps, Delo.
Thanks again for writing!

Regards,
Lian
