Question
I'm thinking about jumping back into boxing but for now i have to do all my training at home since quality gym prices are too high for a 17 year old. i had been boxing when i was 15 and 16 so i have the basic equipment: heavy and speed bag and i have and practice good technique but i have no clue when it comes to roadwork(exercising) and diet. i've looked at a few websites but that just got me on an annoying mail list.  so i need your help, what would you tell me if i were one your own boxers, i.e. training program and diet plan.
Sorry for the longwinded question  THANK YOU

Answer
The answer to your question would be much too long.  Putting it simple you should go on a diet that is high in protein for muscle repair.  Develope and start slowing with roadwork, possibly even walking at first and gradually increase to as much as 6 miles.  There are many books on the market that go in to greater detail.  Go to www.ringside.com and order one of the training books.

Thanks,

Joe
