in retrospect there much controversy regarding this card .

there was a story aired by hbo i think , about the duran / moore fight intimating payoffs and other things . do you know if this special is available anywhere ? also , is there other material about this card that might be available anywhere ?

Thanks for the question.

I'm not aware of a specific special program on that particular card, but the hints of corruption about which you write are linked to the fight on that card between the late Billy Collins, Jr., and Luis Resto.

Resto pounded Collins into a swollen, battered mess for 10 rounds, but it was revealed that much of the padding had been removed from Resto's gloves.
Ultimately, Resto's trainer Panama Lewis was convicted and  sentenced to jail time. Collins never fought again, so severe were his injuries. He committed suicide shortly thereafter.

There was no controversy in Duran vs. Moore; the much more experienced Duran simply outclassed Moore and stopped him in eight one-sided rounds.
