Boxing/golden gloves

Question
my grandpa is 78 he insist he is still fit to box he whants to enter golden gloves.can you tell him rules and regulations

The age limit is from 8 to 34 years old. I don't even think you could talk a gym into letting him spar because they would be afraid of the liability.
Once you fall in love with boxing, it's hard to get out of your system. Not a day goes by that I don't think about fighting again. I know it's not going to happen but it's fun to think about it :)
He should go in and do some of the training routine. It would be great excercise and it might get the urge out of his system.

In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
