Boxing/heavy bag height...chain adjustment

Question
I have a 80 lb heavy bag, its a little low. Can i twist the chains to shorten them? will this tangle? remove links? Do you know of a short chain? THX

Answer
I would not recommend twisting the chains to shorten them. I think it will increase the strain on them and shorten their life. Most of those chain hangers I have seen are pretty standard size. Perhaps you could "build your own" from chain at Home Depot or Lowes.

Good luck.
