Question
I'm an amateur boxer and i just started about 4 weeks ago, I'm pretty good and i just won my first amateur bout 2 days ago, i learned that my worst spot i moving my head to miss a jab, are their any training techniques i can use to help me with this.

Answer
Hi travis,   yes, get someone to work with in the ring. Put on your sparing gear although you are not going to spar. The first round have him throw nothing but straight punches at you at 50% speed. Do not move around the ring, stand in the center so you are forcing yourself to slip the punches. You are not throwing back, only he is throwing. Switch for the next round and throw at him so he can work on the same thing. Alternate rounds.....once you start seeing the punches and getting your timing down you can bump up to about 80% speed..... keep it up until it becomes second nature to you....this will not happen in one day, it will take a few weeks....try and do this drill about 20 rounds a week... You will find that when you spar you will start moving your head without thinking about it and this will enable you to concentrate more on his mistakes and how your going to captilize.

good question!    best of luck on your next bout!
