Answer
Hello Danny,

I would focus on conditioning completely. You would be way ahead of the game if your already in shape when you walk in the gym. That way you can spend all your time in the gym learning how to box rather than doing conditioning drills. You'll get more bang for your buck that way. All your conditioning can be done away from the gym so why use up valuable gym time trying to get your body in shape, I always say.
So, what should you do --
start by running 2 miles, 3 days a week, every other day.
On the off days do 3 sets of pushups 30 seconds each....
3 sets of crunches 45 seconds each....
if you have a chin-up bar do 3 sets of 10....
do 3 sets of leg lifts, 20 reps each time (hold at 6 inches for 3 seconds)
If you have access to a heavybag, do 6 rounds (3 minutes on, 1 minute off).

Since you said you are just starting I assumed you are not a member of a boxing gym yet. If you are, then let me know and I'll adjust your routine for a boxing gym.

Thanks for the question and best of luck,

Jackson
