Question
Hello I am 27yrs old and I am training again to pursue a career in art of sweet science. I am in the US Army full-time, and a big boxing fan. I began boxing at 14 yrs old but stopped at 15 to pursue other interests in life. Is my age to old to return to the sport? Also I train in Missouri but live in Illinois which state should I register with when began my amateur career?

Answer
Hi Devon,
Thanks for the question.
You're not too old to compete as an amateur; you can do so through the age of 34.
You need to register in the Local Boxing Committee (LBC) where you live, in your case, Illinois.
I hope this helps, Devon. Let me know if you have other questions.
Thanks again for writing!

Regards,
Lian
