Question
how does one go about going pro.who to contact etc

Answer
Hi Greg,

Thanks for the question.

Professional boxing is generally regulated by a state's athletic commission. You can usually find contact information at your state's official website, or in the government pages of your local phone directory.

You should be ready to submit to a physical, and you'll probably need to pay an application/licensing fee of some sort as well.

I hope this is helpful, Greg. Thanks again for writing, and best wishes!

Regards,
Lian

I can answer questions regarding rules for both pro and amateur boxing; upcoming bouts; fight analysis/predictions; various other questions. I am an experienced amateur boxing official with USA Boxing (14 years) and I have completed a yearlong professional officials` clinic with the California State Athletic Commission.
