Answer
Hi Hunter,   The number one thing on your list should be conditioning. Boxing is 80% conditioning. You cannot even throw the most perfect punch in the world if you are too tired to let it go. So let's start pounding the pavement ASAP. I'm assuming you are fighting 156 since you said middleweight. I suggest you start running 2 miles three days a week leading up to the bout. Don't increase your distance but rather try and better your times. If it rains, you should jump rope for 6 rounds. On the off days, Get 4 rounds of 30 second drills on the heavybag, all straight punches, don't drop your hands.... 4 rounds on the speedbag... 6 rounds on the mirror focusing on slipping punches moving your head with your hands up all the time....change your angles often....finish with excercises.... 3 sets of crunches for 45 seconds each... leg raises six inches off the ground for 10 seconds each 20 times, 3 sets of those.... push ups for 15 seconds, 3 sets...
dont miss workouts... good luck in your fight and keep your hands up all the time!

good luck,
jack

I have been in the sport of boxing since 1984. I started as a boxer and advanced quickly. I was lucky enough to have some of the best sparring in the country with 3 top ten pros in my very gym. I am fortunate enough to live near one of the better boxing programs in the country. We have cultivated our facility into the largest Amateur Boxing Gym in the country. In the mid 90's I became a trainer for Golden Gloves. I train amateur and pro fighters. I have worked in many corners at USA and Golden Glove tournaments. I have worked corners in pro bouts on HBO and ESPN cards. My friend, boss and coach is the former President of Golden Gloves and I trained under his tutelage.
