Question
Hi, my name is Carl and I have a son who used to box. He got into some trouble and went to prison. He is out now and told me that he wants to box and go pro. I believe he has the talent to go all the way. Most importantly he believes that. He is willing to do the work. Question: he is 26, so time is a factor. Who or where do I put him to get him on target for this. There doesn't seem to be much around the State of Washington and money is a scarce commodity. Do you have ideas?   Thanks,  Carl

Answer
You do have somewhat of a problem being in Washington, however Joe Hipp a top heavyweight contender is from Yakima.  You might want to do a search on www.boxinggyms.com under the state of Washington and find a gym that is local and from there you can get some more information.  If he has a pro record already then I might be able to get him some fights myself, or if he is willing to relocate I have some connections in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, and Missouri.

Hope this helps, and good luck with his career.

Joe
