Question
what things do i need before i start to spar

Answer
Hi David,

What "things" to start sparring?  That really depends on a few issues. I would not recommend sparring without being enrolled in a boxing training program, having an equally prepared opponent and at least one coach supervising the activity. It is not really a good idea to just start sparring in an unorganized back yard attempt to be "boxing".  But I don't really know what your situation is.

For equipment, you would need (1) a good set of boxing gloves, with (2) hand wraps underneath. A (3) good mouth piece and a proper (4) male cup for those low blows. You will also need some good (5) well fitting shoes. Of course shorts are required and shirts are normally worn. It also helps if you have a (6) round timer.

You can find all that equipment at any of the links below
