Question
Lian,
I'd like to enter the Golden Gloves tournament this year, but I can't find info on how or where to enter. I live in Southern Illinois, about two hours east of St. Louis, or six south of Chicago. I know I need to register with USA boxing and get a passbook,  but that's about it. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks,
  Dennis

Answer
Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the question.

You're correct; you'll need to register with USA Boxing as an athlete to compete in Golden Gloves, or any other properly sanctioned amateur boxing event.
To get registration information, you'll need to contact USA Boxing's national office  directly at 819-866-4506.

They can direct you to the registration chairperson in your area.

To get yourself more familiar with USA Boxing, you can go to their website at www.usaboxing.org. There, you'll find the rulebook and lots of other important information about amateur boxing.

I hope this helps, Dennis.

Thanks again for writing!

Regards,
Lian
