Boxing/wrist pain

Question
About two weeks ago, i started having a pain in my wrist when doing curls. I have about 30 pounds put on, and been curling this for 3 weeks.  The pain started to hurt a little.  But then only a week ago it was unbearable.  It hurt the most bringing up the wieght, putting the wieght down, and releasing my grip.  My question is, should i use aleve or any other pain killers to ignore it or should i give it time to heal? If i should let it heal, how long should it take and if it comes back after resting, what should i do?

Answer
Hi Brandon,

My only answer for personal injuries is seek medical attention. I have no idea what medications you may or may not be allergic to, as well the seriousness of the injury involved. Most serious injuries take AT LEAST six weeks to heal and some may take longer.  Resting the area is a great idea, and if it continues to hurt after a few weeks of rest, seek professional medical attention.

good luck with your wrist injury.

sincerely,
