Do you know who Schwartz's first choice was to play the part of Mike Brady?

Hi Sheila,

Believe it or not, Gene Hackman was in the running for the part of Mike Brady, but Schwartz had picked actor Jeffrey Hunter. However, Hunter was deemed "too good looking" to be an architect, which was silly, and the part eventually went to Robert Reed.
