Question
HI, I have a long standing argument with an old friend about a movie that I think Eve Plumb was in. Back in the 1970’s I was in the US Navy. We had movie call on the fantail on night. I don’t remember the title clearly but it was like “ Back to the Surf or California Dreams”. Any way the plot was simple, Middle aged ex-surfer has a reunion with all his old surf buddies.  The kids all come along for the ride, thinking it will be a major bust. The parents all get drunk and start fighting and the kids go surfing and fall in love. One of the daughters  is Eve Plumb. The reason for this long diatribe is that she does a love scene with a boy.  In the scene she is nude . Most of us say it was her. I have a reunion coming up soon. I would like to get out of paying for drinks on this one.
thanks for you time , Marc

Answer
This one's a bit perplexing.  I don't have any evidence or foreknowledge of Eve doing a "nude" scene per se, but the closest I can imagine is her 1976 role in "Dawn: Portrait of a Teenaged Runaway" where her character falls into prostitution and is subsumed by the usual craziness that follows.  I believe there was a love scene or two in there, but being a tv movie, no nudity.  She never did a formal role in any kind of surfy movie that you described (per her formal credits) so I doubt this one holds any water.  Hate to say, but I'm 99% sure she was never nude in a serious 70s role, other than the faux sex scene described above.  That's the best I can give you on this, sorry if it isn't definitive!
Best wishes,
Mike
