Question
I am writing a Compare/Contrast essay, The essay is Brady Bunch v.s. That 70's Show. I am wanting to compare their story lines so I am looking for a basic explanation of what there story lines were about.

Answer
Cherokee- Since the Brady Bunch was originally telecasted in the late 60's and early 70's the shows episodes dealt with the problems that teen's faced at the time which were at the same time both different and similar to what they face now. For example there were episodes about dating, but instead of todays dating issues(sex, mixed relationships, living together, pregnancy) the episode was about "going steady" and sharing the same intrests. Another episode was about smoking cigerettes as opposed to todays issues about smoking pot or another drug.Other episodes dealt with issues like lying to your parents, feeling left out or not as popular as others and deciding what you wanted to be when you grew up. These are the same things that teens think about today, but there may be different factors involved. For example on the show a Brady child might lie about a bad grade where today a shows charactor might lie about the crowd he or she stays with. Also I think that the issues teens face today were likely present back then but perhaps not as much or perhaps the tv networks did not want to do a show about them. One last thing, I do like That 70's Show but its a pure comedy where the Brady Bunch while there were funny moments was a family show. I hope this helped you and good luck on your essay.
