Question
My 3 yrs old daughter gone through brain surgery to remove tumor.Biopsy diagnosis is Astrocytoma high grade. Tumor was on right side and on temporal lobe. Surgeon says that they completly removed the tumor. Now recommending radiothrapy. Please advice what shall we do. What are the recurrence chances of this even after radiothrapy. Whats i sthe latest tachniques and studies on astrocytoma.

Unfortunately I do not have good news for you! No one can guarantee that a high grade brain tumor has been completely removed surgically. Furthermore even with radiation therapy and chemo therapy after surgery the prognosis remains bad or doubtful unfortunately.
