Brain Tumors/Corpus Callosum Lipoma

Question
My 5 month old daughter had a sedated CT scan of the brain to see if there were any calcifications or premature fusing of the bones because her head is not growing.

Fortunately she has neither but they found a 4mm lesion in her brain which they think is a Lipoma.  To confirm this finding, they preformed a sedated MRI and found two Lipoma in the Corpus Callosum.

They are both 4 to 5 mm in circumference.  One is 1 1/2 cm long and the other is 1/2 cm long.

Her doctor said they may just be incidental and doesn't think they will interfere with her development.  Please explain to me exactly what this is and what the possible side affects might be.

I'm somewhat uneasy about the finding and can't really find a lot of information.  Thanks for your help!

Answer
Dear Debra, I'm a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experience of treating brain tumors but I'm not a neurologist or a neurosurgeon. Your question should best be answered by an expert of either of these subjects, best probably in neurology. I therefore strongly suggest that you direct your question to such an expert.
