Question
My wife was diagnouised 9/4/07 with nsclc with brain mets brain tumor was removed via surgery then treated with whole brain radiation everything was good for about year.Had another brain met treated with Gamma Knife Radiation now 2 months later we have 2 more brain mets.Plan on another gamma knife procedure.She also has a new tumor in right lung and on the adrnel gland. I know we have exceded the predicted 8 to 12 months but don't know what to expect next. she is currently recieving Tareva sleeping alot bad cough still driving.Any insight can can offer is appriciated.
Well based on experience - but that may change with therapy progress - her brain metastases will probably kill her within a year probably even sooner than that. She will become more and more confused, may suffer stroke like symptoms and even epileptic fits. She will sleep more and more, drift into a coma and then pass away. There will be little pain - if any. She should NOT drive!
