Question
I have had NHL for 4yrs. finally being in remssion for 1 full yr.In March I was told I have brain tumor and after months of treatment I am now told it's a "brain Lesion" not a tumor? What is the difference? I have had a series of small strokes the last few months but no permanent damage. My memory has been effected however and at 44 yrs old I feel like I'm 90 being forgetful. Will my memory ever be regained? I am taking radiation as treatment for the lesion and progress looks "good" whatever that means.I have been told I am a luck guy since I have out lived by 2 yrs what my Dr's predicted and yet I am wondering if this brain lesion is a result of the Non Hodgkins Lymphoma?

Answer
A lesion can be ANYTHING from a result of a stroke to a tumor. So the word does not tell me much though I suspect that it here means that it is thought not to be a tumor. But I can not be sure. However if radiation is given there still may be some tumor suspicion. No one can go through treatment for NHL without feeling like a wreck! GOOD LUCK!
