Brain Tumors/DNET

Question
My daughter at age 12 had a DNET tumor removed. It was benign.  Now at age 20 the neurologist still wants her to have yearly MRI's.  She had several that first year and yearly since.  I worry about her having the dye every year.  They never check her BUN/Creatinine before.  She has no history of kidney problems.  What is the percentage rate of these tumors coming back?  Do you think yearly MRI's are necessary?  Thanks

Answer
Dear Marci, I'm a Swede living in Sweden and English is NOT my first language! Why are Americans so fond of acronyms/abbreviations that drive the rest of us nuts? Please write out her diagnosis in full in order to avoid misunderstandings & mistakes! What do you mean by DNET tumor? If you tell me I'll be happy to answer!
