Question
QUESTION: regarding a 22 year reoccurence of malignant melanoma that has metastasized to the gallbladder, lung and brain (2 lesions).  The brain lesions were treated with stereotactic radiosurgery and are presently taking Temodar.  What do you think?

ANSWER: Unfortunately I think that the survival time can be measured in months in this situation.

QUESTION: Is his based on type of treatment or on the cancer.  Would there be a better course of treatment or what?

Answer
It is based on that it is a malignant melanoma that has spread. Yes the kind of treatment he has received can take care of those lesions but not many more and if this tumor has spread to somewhere it has almost always also spread to elsewhere though maybe not detected - or even detectable - yet.
