Question
A friend of mine recently had  his Brain tumor removed and results indicated that  the tumor was cancerous is this an indication that he has cancer? The  tumor was discovered  after a stroke episode where his left side of the body was paralysed. My worry is that he may  have to under go radiation wont this affect his healing as he his part of the body that was paralyzed is able to function

Answer
It means that his brain tumor behaves like a cancer - even if strictly speaking it is something else - so in that respect it is cancer that he has got. His stroke like symptoms were most likely caused by his tumor which also led to its discovery. So radiation therapy will actually improve his situation. However cancerous brain tumors usually have a bad prognosis even with therapy. So in spite of his treatment (surgery & radiation) his prognosis probably remains bad unfortunately.
