Question
hi my mom is 46yrs old, she has been diagnosed with mestatic melonoma stage 4 in july 2008, its now december 2008.. the cancer has spread to her pelvic, lungs, hip joint, all through her lympnodes, she ended up having quite a few seizures so we had to call 911. they ran a cat scan on her the cancer has spread to her brain. There are 2 tumors that are 1 c.m .... what do i expect now??

Answer
The size of her brain mets makes it possible to treat them with the so called GammaKnife. Unfortunately that can not cure her only delay the outcome somewhat. I expect her survival time now to be at most just a few more months. But it may also be much shorter. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
