Question
my son was in Iraq and hit and IED and was blown back and forth. He has PTSD and just had a MRI and has two dark spots on the front and back of his head what could cause that is it from the blow from the IED

Answer
That is quite possible. It can be what in French is called a "coup et contrecoup" phenomenon (= a blow & counter blow phenomenon).  However I ONLY answer tumor questions here because I'm not a neurosurgeon, I'm a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experience of treating brain tumors. So I strongly suggest that you discuss this with a neurosurgeon or maybe a neurologist.
Sorry madame you ask a tumor dr. a non tumor question and expect a neurosurgeon answer! Are you in the habit of asking your dentist how your feet should be treated?! I have just politely told you where to direct your question and you treat that as ignorance! That is why you now receive a slightly less polite reply.
