Brain Tumors/Scar tissue

Question
My daughter had a astrocytoma removed in Feb. 2006 It was a benign tumor that was diagnosed by her gastroenterologist. Since the removal of the tumor she has suffered with CHRONIC ABDOMINAL PAIN. We have tried everything from hypnosis, acupuncture, and have just returned from Yale where she had a capsule endoscopy that was negative. My husband and I are stumped and do not know where to turn. Recently we have questioned if there could be scar tissue from the brain tumor that could be causing the abdominal pain. If this is the case, how can she be treated.

Answer
This is beyond my expertise! I'm not a neurologist or a neurosurgeon but a medical oncologist and radiation therapist with experience of treating brain tumors. So this is something you should and must discuss with a neurologist or a neurosurgeon!
Sorry Valerie, I just gave you an honest answer. I'm NOT a neurologist or a neurosurgeon! I just politely pointed you in the right direction. It is like you asked your dentist an ear-nose-and-throat question! It is NOT lack of knowledge or a state of ignorance. This is NOT inside my area of expertise!
