Brain Tumors/son age seven

Question
Dr my son has a glioma tumor on the left ( the thalamus) I live in El Paso, Tx I was told that they will not do surgery its a low grade? Will chemo save my son. The tumor caused him obesity. Its the size of an olive. He also has asthma I am really scared. Where else can I take him?

Answer
In that location surgery is hardly an option. If it is a low grade it is probably growing slowly. There MAY (no promises) be radiological treatment options by using the so called GammaKnife or by proton beams or maybe by the so called CyberKnife. The size of his lesion is probably not too big for any of these methods but there may be other problems. Where to find those options in Texas however I do not know (I'm a Swede living in Sweden).
