Brain Tumors/Brain Tumors and Blood Pressure

Question
Hi. I was wondering if a person with a brain tumor should have their blood pressures elevated a little bit in order to perfuse the brain adequately with blood. I work as a physical therapist and I overheard a neurologist talking about wanting to keep a brain tumor patient's BP over a certain number. And if you do want to keep it high what is a good range for the patient to be in. Thank you so much!

Answer
Well in theory this may be true. I'm not sure that it is in real life. Nor have I considered what blood pressure levels we would have to deal with then. You should redirect this question to a neurologist or a neurosurgeon. I'm a radiation therapist & medical oncologist with experience of treating brain tumors.
