Question
I was diagnosed with GBM in 2000. Maxed out with radiation therapy, temozolomide for 9 months - been stable with no problems until now. Are you familiar with the DCA treatment that is in clinical trials in Alberta Canada? If so, what are your thoughts?
Honestly I would like to have your tumor pathology reviewed since the "normal" survival time is around one year. Some brain tumors are very hard to diagnose so it is quite possible - even probable with this long survival time - that a misdiagnosis is involved in your case. Has there been no reaction from your own drs.? If they presented a number of GBM cases with your survival time it would be a world wide sensation! Since that has not happened - unfortunately - I must conclude that you are a single case and that would make a misdiagnosis much more probable.
