Brain Tumors/brain scar tissue

Question
I am 42 years old and recently had a brain MRI that showed a spot on the left frontal lobe that needs to be examined by a neurologist.  My primary care doctor believes it is scar tissue and says it is definitely not a tumor.  I have been experiencing vertigo and experiencing some problems with my memory and vision, which prompted me to see my doctor.  I do have a history of cancer (breast and melanoma, although both were found in-situ.)  My question is what should / can be done with scar tissue on the brain that is the result of a previous insult?  About 25 years ago I did fall and hit my head extremely hard, which my doctors feels could be the cause of the scar tissue.  Any input you can share would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Answer
Sorry, I'm a brain TUMOR expert (a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experience of TREATING brain tumors) but NOT a neurologist or a neurosurgeon! Your question should be directed to any of these 2 kinds of expert as it has nothing to do with tumors.
