I had a CPA meningioma on the left side, removed surgically 5 days ago. When I was released from the hospital I had a little head pain. However, in these two days my left ear is in great pain. As thought I had an ear infection. I haven't been able to sleep because of the pain in my head. I was given some pain medication but it doesn't seem to work. Is this the way it is supposed to be?

This is a question for an expert of neurosurgery. I'm a medical oncologist & radiation therapist with experiece of treating brain tumors (mainly malignant ones which a meningioma is not) not a neurosurgeon. Therapy for meningiomas is mainly surgical. So I strongly suggest that this question is directed to such an expert. But it does not sound good. Probably you should contact the hospital where it was done and talk to a neurosurgeon there! Good luck!
