Brain Tumors/Astrocytoma Level 3

Question
Hello,
I am very concerned about my good friend who has recently been dx with Astrocytoma level 3. He had a seizure and then 7 days later a tumor removed from the right temporal area near the ear. Before and after surgery the Dr's thought that the tumor was between level 1&2, when they removed it they described the tumor as "jelly like".
He is 24 years old and in good health and cognitive functioning overall. They have decided that he must have 6 weeks radiation and Chemo. I really want to know, can he live a "normal" healthy lifetime with this diagnosis?

Answer
I suppose by level 3 you mean grade 3. Unfortunately with this kind of tumor that is probably not possible since brain tumors of this kind generally have a very bad prognosis regardless of whatever treatment that is given. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
