My mother in law was diagnosed in sep last year with lung cancer and a brain tumour over the right side of her brain. She has no use of the left side at all and now her right side seems to be shaking all the time. She sleeps alot and then quickly wakes up before falling asleep again. She has lost use of her kidney functions and her bowels and she has bad short term memory loss. We know that its terminal and are taking her home to care for her but we dont have any idea whats happening and this scares her and us alike. We've left several messages with her doctor with little response back. Please can you tell me what we are to expect to happen from here on in. I just want her not to feel scared not knowing whats happening. Please help. Thank for your time sam xx

It is very common that lung cancers spread to the brain. She will sleep more and more and become more and more confused. She may show more stroke like symptoms and even epileptic fits. Eventually she will drift into a coma and then pass away. There will be little pain - if any. Her survival time can be measured in months or even weeks or shorter. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!

Due to a stroke that I suffered nearly six years ago, my ability to work has been severely
limited. Now, because of a diagnosis of cancer, I will be unable to work at all for the next
several months. That will deplete what little savings I have left and leave me with debts
