Question
My son yesterday had a skateboarding crash hit his head. ambulance took him to the hospital they did a catscan and said it was fine sent us home. Well they called this morning and said to come back that a neuro in Texas wants my son to have an MRI. They said come back now please. Well he did the MRI took alot longer than they said it would the lady came out and said they were going to give him contrast. Finally over the radiologist said that they can definitely say its not from trauma. And the doc would call me in the am. Well all they will say its a dark spot. should I be concerned? So confused

Answer
Yes it seems they have found something that should not be there due to his accident (meaning that the accident made it necessary to check him and due to that this was found). It probably has nothing to do with his accident (a CT scan would be enough for that). It may be serious but without knowing what has been seen I can at present not say more.
