Question
Please could you let me know if you have had any dealings with this type of brain tumor which I understand to be very rare.
99 of 6 cm tumor removed in motor area of brain. Remaining tumor fragments attached to major blood vessel in sensory area.  6 weeks follow of intensive radiotherapy.  Please could you indicate prognosis.  Also, small lesion on lung which Radiologist believes is calcium deposit.  Do you think there is any connection as brain tumor cannot be identified as primary.

Many thanks for you expertise.

Kind Regards.

Answer
I have no personal experience of this kind of tumor. In fact even its tumor nature is not quite clear. These tumors may be locally aggressive but metastatic spread is less common. At least a few cases believed to be primary brain tumors have been found before, so I can not comment on whether your case is a primary or not. Due to the general lack of experience with this tumor I do not dare to give any prognosis prediction. Far too uncertain to do so with such limited available information!
