Question
I am a 25 yearold boy and was mistakenly gone through ct scan of my head. It was unwanted and I had no problems with my head anyway My dad took me there and I was unaware of the risks. I live in iran in khoy which is a small town and i am afraid of the side effects of ct scan . because after ct scan i found strange feelings  in my brain and i have studied in the net that it will cause brain cancer and tumors after some little decades. please guide me . is the dosage i received in khoy city different from bigger and more civilized cities. Will I be effected by ct scan????????/

Answer
Dear Hamed, while a CT scan does deliver more radiation to the checked body than an ordinary x-ray picture does the amount given by a single CT scan will NOT increase your cancer risks in any measurable way. It can also NOT cause any strange feelings afterwards so any such symptoms MUST be caused by something else - your own nervousness perhaps?! So there will NOT be any effects for you due to this! Good luck!
