Question
my mother has glimoblastomia grade 4 ,surgery 2 years ago ,gamma knife 1 month ago for recurring,( no chimo) i know this is not good... all of a sudden she has dark circles under her eye and her eyes are heavy.. she is fighting so hard  I don't think she is aware this cancer will win  ...I think she is going down hill fast .. she still gets out of bed...will she suffer alot in the next couple months????it scares me  and i feel so bad for her... do you think she realizes what is actually happening....   the brain sergeon doc only gives her a"" few months at best""....   is she going to fall?? .... sad and scared

Answer
Unfortunately her dr. is most probably right even though it is impossible to precisely predict survival times.  She may suffer stroke like symptoms and even epileptic fits but that is far from certain. She will sleep more and more, eventually drift into a coma and then pass away. There will be little pain - if indeed any!
