Dear Dr. Nordquist, my 10 year old son has been diagnosed with a recurrend Cerebellar Pilocytic Astrocytoma. We live in the north of Germany and since information on specialized Doctors in Germany is hard to obtain, I would appreciate if you could advise me a spezialized Doctor who is an expert in radiation and Gamma Knife treatment. I can turn to. It does not matter where this Doctor is located in Germany.

Sie können zu mir ganz gut auch auf Deutsch schreiben denn hoffentlich habe ich nicht alles vergessen. Ich bin Schwede und habe auch Deutsch studiert genau wie Englisch, Französisch, Dänish und Norwegisch. Als Sie auf Englisch gefragt haben werde ich doch auch auf Englisch antworten. As I just wrote it is quite ok to write to me in German though I have forgotten a lot so it is not on the same level as my English (my French is even worse). Norwegian and Danish are also ok. Now to the matter you asked about. Unfortunately I have no knowledge of any GammaKnife specialists in Germany. Apart from a few short visits in the 70'ies, and late 90'ies I have not been in Germany since the 60'ies! But since you live in another European Union country your son could be treated here in Sweden under the same conditions as in Germany. So if you can accept that I can arrange that for you here. I have already referred a few patients to the university hospital here in Stockholm mostly patients from Denmark. If you want that you are welcome back! Good luck! Viel Glück!
