Question
My husband was diagnosed in march with a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma. We were told it was inoperatable. We went through 33 radiation treatments and two rounds of Temadar chemo treatments. The tumor continue to grow and did not respond to either the radiation or chemo. We were told we could either do nothing and my husband  had about 6 weeks left or try and remove the tumor and give him more time. My husband wanted the surgery and was left paralyzed on the left side. He has started sleeping a lot again and does not want to eat or drink anything .Can you tell me what to expect?I'm not getting very clear answers from Drs.

Answer
I'm sorry to read about his & your problems! The fact that he sleeps a lot tells me unfortunately that his tumor is progressing again. Unfortunately after he has received these treatments nothing more can be done at present. His sutvival time can probably be measured in months at most. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
